I’m Not Her

I’m not her-

I won’t dress the same way,

and you won’t see her when you’re

looking my way.

I’m not her-

I won’t kiss the same way,

my eyes and my hair won’t be

the same shade.

I’m not her-

I didn’t make her mistakes,

it’s not in me to hurt you,

so don’t make me pay.

I’m not her-

but I’m here with you now,

and I’ll love you as much

as you will allow.

I’m not her-

but I hope that you see,

there’s a chance to be happy,

not with her, but with me.
