Need a little lift?
Let's face it. We could all use a lift!
With the ever-growing ZOOM BOOM, online dating and the never-ending to-do's of our busy schedules, finding a treatment that requires minimal downtime and maximum results for our patients sounds like a DREAM.
But It's REAL!
LifeHope Healing Med Spa has introduced a minimally-invasive procedure to our list of treatments that complement our injectable fillers and Botox in slowing the unforgiving hands of time to sculpt and contour the face.
You will have people wondering what your secret is...
And you can tell them it's ... PDO Threads.
Polydioxanone (PDO) sutures is a cosmetic procedure that instantly lifts and tightens sagging skin and repositions it to restore a youthful and natural-looking facial contour. PDO stimulates collagen production and cellular renewal, improving your skin's texture for lasting results. In just 2-6 months, you will notice an overall more toned and rejuvenated appearance at a fraction of the cost of a traditional facelift. Keep in mind that a thread lift does not replace a traditional facelift, but is an excellent alternative for the patient seeking a non-surgical treatment option.
Let's start with a consultation, and talk it out.
You will want to know ...
1. What do PDO threads do?
For decades, PDO threads have been used safely for various applications, like treating gynecological disorders or suturing incisions after medical procedures. Not only do they result in instant skin lifting, but PDO threads also contract fat tissue to result in instant skin tightening. Additionally, these threads promote collagen production and neovascularization to renew your skin at the cellular level. All work together to give you an immediate lift, and as an extra bonus, in approximately 60-90 days patients will notice visible improvement in skin texture, fewer fine lines and wrinkles, and more elasticity.
2. How long does the procedure take?
The procedure itself will take approximately 45 -90 minutes depending on the areas being treated. We will ask that a patient arrives 30-45 mins prior to their treatment time for photos, going over treatment consents, and highlighting what to expect during and following treatment, along with numbing the area to be treated.
3. What can I expect before my procedure?
Before your treatment begins, we will apply a topical numbing agent and local anesthetic to the treatment site. Our providers work to manage your comfort during and after the procedure to ensure you are as comfortable as possible. At LifeHope Healing Med Spa we also offer patients the optional use of Pro-Nox™ if needed to prevent any anxiety they may have. Pro-Nox™ uses a 50/50 combination of inhaled oxygen and nitrous oxide to provide fast-acting pain relief, similar to what is used in a dental procedure and referred to as "laughing gas".
4. What Can I Expect During Treatment?
Once the topical anesthetic has taken effect, our expert Alexis Andress, DNP ( @thebotoxunicorn) will sculpt a defined facial contour using threads expertly designed for your body's most delicate organ ... your skin. The PDO threads are inserted through blunt tip needles, called cannulas that aid in minimizing bruising and reducing injury to nerves and vessels in the area. Once inserted into the skin, they act as anchors as the skin is then lifted upwards. Then, the excess threads are trimmed off. These advanced threads provoke the body's own "healing response" and cause the body to direct large surges of collagen to the areas being treated.
5. Is This Treatment Safe?
With over a decade-long safety record, this procedure is extremely safe and effective when provided by an expert injector. PDO thread lifts are approved by the FDA for safety and efficiency. Hundreds of thousands of patients have undergone this procedure, and there are no reports of allergic reactions, sensitivities to the threads, or severe side effects.
6. What Areas Can a PDO Thread Lift Treat?
PDO threads are very versatile coming in multiple forms - PDO mono, PDO cog, or screw and can treat virtually any area of the face. The actual type of thread is selected based on the area and desired results of smoothing and or lifting.
These include the following:
Neck
Jowls
Jawline - "Snatched Jawline"
Nasolabial Folds
Crow's Feet
Undereye Area
Eyebrows - "Cat-Eye"
Cheeks
Marionette Lines
PDO Threads can also be used on the body ( that's an exciting story for another day )
7. How Long Do the Threads Last?
The results can last anywhere from nine months to a year or longer, depending on your body's rate of metabolism.
8. How Soon Will I See Results?
Specific results from the treatment, such as skin lifting and contouring effects, are visible immediately after treatment.
9. When Will I See the Final Results?
The final results of your PDO thread lift will be seen within one to two months of your treatment. How long it takes you personally depends much on your age, the condition, and the health of your skin.
Age is one of the leading factors in how quickly your body produces new, healthy collagen.
10. How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Most of our clients enjoy satisfactory results after just one treatment. Six to nine months following your first treatment, you and your provider can together determine if follow-up treatment is needed. Every patient is as unique as their own personal goals.
11. Am I a Good Candidate for a PDO Thread Lift?
If you're looking to minimize lines, wrinkles, or skin laxity, contour and sculpt the face, and want to combat the signs of facial aging without having a surgical procedure, you are an ideal candidate for a PDO thread lift. This procedure is typically performed on men and women ages mid 30's to early 60's.
